So we went to STAY, Dubai today with a bunch of friends and it was great. The service lacked some finesse. To give you an example, the server was pointing to us, and saying “so you want this and you want that” and at one point he looked into my wife’s phone who was booking tickets to a tourist attraction, and provided his input on the place. It felt a bit off.
Anyway, back to the food. We took the sommeliers selection, which is essentially the wine pairing menu. And the wine was amazing. At one point the chef visited our table and he was extremely charming and funny. One of my friends asked him – what would he choose for his last mail and the chef said lobster. A few seconds later, the chef said he would get us a complimentary lobster course which was my favorite today. The entire team was very nice and they made all kinds of arrangements. For example, they got us two extra fans, because the place was very hot and accommodated, every kind of dietary restrictions that my friends had.
