I went to Maison Sota in Paris this week. It’s a very, very interesting restaurant. Loads of inventive flavours and really top quality ingredients. Highlight had to be the pigeon – every bit of it cooked over coals and served up. Beautifully grilled asparagus and turbot too. The roasted cabbage and spinach with caviar that went with a beautiful raw scallop was excellent too. They are very well versed in solo diners too – they save the counter for them so you can watch all the cooking and chat with the chefs. Lovely stuff.
