I did not make my own bacon bits and instead used a tablespoon of McCormick’s and added steamed broccoli. The recipe also made a LOT of food (about 8 servings) so it’s great for meal prep! My non-vegan boyfriend really liked it as well. Definitely one of the better vegan Mac recipes I’ve tried.

Also adding that I used Brami rotini pasta for the noodles to add more protein. I HIGHLY recommend it for any sort of protein pasta if you can find it near you, it has almost identical macros to Banza but tastes like actual pasta and doesn’t get all mushy (and it’s cheaper!). Not gluten-free, though.
