Truly an incredible experience. I’ve eaten at quite a few of the world’s top 50 (personal favorites up to now being Gaggan, Disfrutar, and Belcanto) but the holistic experience at alchemist blew those away. The level of service, creativity, art, and the story they tell. Chef Munk personally served us a few dishes and chatted with us for a while about his current passion project of revitalizing the chocolate industry. I didn’t want to post every dish as some surprises are best unspoiled, but here are a few of my personal favorites, and of course an excellent post meal whisky in the lounge.

Good to see someone enjoyed that blood macaroon 👍 that’s a lovely whisky, too.

Decisions, decisions. This looks delightful, but Noma is closing so we opted for there. Hope to try Alchemist by winter.

Great pics and yes, definitely a great experience. I would says it’s like an interactive show and dinner wrapped into one. Something akin to Sleep No More + NOMA combined.

We went a couple months ago for a friend’s birthday and my wife did Noma the previous day as well (I’ve been a few times so decided to skip this time.) Everyone agreed that Alchemist was the highlight and Nora has lost a lot of its shine over time. They are both in my mind categorized as incredible experiences rather than incredible food. There’s a lot of places that I would recommend higher for incredible food, but these two are top for dining experiences. That being said, I’m not sure how many times I could do Alchemist especially at the price point. All said and done it was over $1k a person with the cheaper pairing and a couple additional after meal drinks.

I wouldn’t recommend the non-alcoholic pairing since it’s the same price as the wine and the drinks were mostly kombuchas that I personally didn’t really enjoy.
