Experimenting with v-whey (vegan friendly whey), it makes a really creamy, low cal high protein ice cream. 187 cal (14 grams protein) for 5 scoops of pistachio. Used my Ninja Creami.

This tasted better than Halo top.
Ninja Creami recipe for ~ 1 pint
* 4 T of v-whey (vanilla sundae flavor)
* 14 g pudding mix
* 2 T Silk creamer, vanilla
* 1.75 c unsweetened almond milk
Add milk to bowl and whisk in the pudding mix followed by the v-whey and creamer. Freeze overnight in the Ninja creami container and then use the “light ice cream” setting followed by 1 re-mix.
Calories for ice cream in bowl (244 grams) do not include the crushed pistachios. For other flavors I typically use a flavor extract like vanilla. Did not need it for this recipe.
Looks delicious. What is vegan whey made from? I’ve never heard of it before!
Thought jello always had gelatin l?
What!! This looks incredible. Ordering v-whey right now. I had no idea this was a thing!

Where did you get the V-whey from? It’s only available for preorder in their website
If you’ve tried it in just regular smoothie how is the v-whey? I’m interested since I don’t love most vegan protein powders, but never had nonvegan whey either so don’t know if it’s any better
Interesting! I have not heard of v-whey. I cannot tolerate regular dairy – all mammal products spark an autoimmune reaction – and I wonder if I would react the same to this.
i’ve heard awesome things about the creami, is it worth it if you like ice cream type of things? i’m on the fence because i love ice creamy things but sweets aren’t my favorite. but when i want something 🤷🏻♀️
Is there any reason you didn’t use guar gum in this recipe? I see you use it in your more recent ones. Thanks
Edit: and I’ve also seen your ratio of pudding mix/milk/creamer/protein powder has changed. Have you not found an ideal ratio that works across all flavors?
