Fondly recalling my solo birthday dinner at Aira last month. Food and service were exceptional but what really stood out was that room. I’d pay just to be in that space. Both the lounge and dining room are stunning and transformed as the sun set.

Ate at Pujol a few weeks later and can’t believe these are both 2 star spots. It feels like there is a 4 star gulf between them. While Ekstedt is still my top Michelin spot in Stockholm…albeit certainly more casual, Aira is genuine luxury and finesse.

I’ve been four times to Aira and every single meal is better than many three stars I’ve been to. Love their food and the venue is really great too

Love solo dining, although I can’t say I’ve done it at a place of this level. In the same way you can have a special moment sharing a great meal with others, you can create something very personal by yourself. Also feels like it brings the best out of the staff!

  4. Been thinking of going to Aira and this made me want to go even more.

Went to Ekstedt a while back and I was kind of disappointed. No dish really stood out and it was just ok.

I was there shortly after they opened and wasn’t that impressed. I don’t recognize many of the items on the menu though so maybe another visit would be proper 🙂
