This is a *slightly* edited bulgogi recipe from Nora Cooks. It’s soo good and with a helping of rice (I used about 200kcal worth) and about 1/4 recipe of the bulgogi (about 380kcal). I do deviate a little bit from the recipe, but it’s good either way! Calories of course depend on your portion size, but 1/4th the recipe with about 3/4th cup rice has been a good sweet spot for me.
I use four Impossible patties, a small onion (thinly sliced), 4 tablespoons soy sauce, 1/4 cup packed brown sugar, 1 tablespoon agave, 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil, 4 large garlic cloves (minced) , 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/2 tablespoon gochujang, 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper. I just sauté the onion and patties in the toasted sesame oil, and then add everything else, stirring often. 1/4th of the recipe should be enough if served over rice, plus I like to add some arugula. 🙂 This recipe is so easy and my whole family is obsessed with it.
This isn’t a very authentic recipe of course, but hopefully it helps someone out there! Especially if your roommates are as picky as mine -_-
So is Bulgogi just seasoned meat? I’ve never heard of it 😮 Is it korean?
I do this with impossible ground beef, and I top it with Seoul kimchi. Delicious.
