Been seeing friends at Madrid dining at this chemistry-lab-like place located along a stunning street at one of Madrid's most luxurious neighborhoods, Paseo de la Castellana

Despiece means cutting/to cut – and me oh my did they prepare everything in front of us with just one knife or a hand.

From vegetable forward dishes like aubergine from China, to the freshest tuna and monkfish from Tsukiji, Japan to delectable meats of Foie Gras from France and Jamon Iberico from its very homeland.

I highly recommend this place! A great place to learn about technical culinary skills and experience a culinary escapade around the world.

  1. I agree, this spot is one of my favorites worldwide, certainly in Madrid. Not to mention it is an incredibly reasonable price for such a delicious experience.

    I love SDD! Super reasonable prices, really high quality, I’m surprised it doesn’t have a star. Although I don’t know if anything on Somebody Feed Phil can count as a hidden gem!
