I received a ton of feedback from my last post where my breakfast was high in calories for a low volume of food.

IMO this modified version is comparable in taste with much lower calories.

I got some of the maples grove sugar free syrup which has 5 calories, used a measuring spoon to ensure I was actually using 2 TBSP only, boiled my eggs instead of frying so I wasn’t using any oil, and I used pre cooked pancakes that I popped into my air fryer.

I cooked my strawberry with sugar free sweetener to soften them and bring out the sweetness. I did not add oil to the pan. Only water and lemon juice.

475 may still be a lot of calories for some but breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. More protein, slightly larger volume of food, and lower calories is a huge win!

Looks great. I’ve been making pancakes with this recipe and they’re insanely delicious with great macros (something like 250 cal and 18g protein for a big serving) :

    – 2 egg whites + 2 eggs
    – 2 tb almond flour (oat flour or regular flour or a combo works too)
    – 1 tsp baking powder
    – 4 tb cottage cheese
    – 4 tb oats
    – 1 tsp vanilla
    – 1 tsp sweetener

Mix it up, let it sit for 15 minutes, cook like pancakes
