First time in Munich and no idea what to expect but I was really impressed by the tasting menu at Tantris. The restaurant has been around since yesterday 70s but changes out chefs ever so often to bring the best of modern European cuisine. They also have a single star sister restaurant on the same premises that still serves some of the favorites I think.

Definitely very much modern french but with some germen influences. The crispy crab pancake was a delight as was the venison and foie gras wellington. The also made a chocolate bar for my wife's birthday and we got a kitchen tour and met with the chef when service was over and we had a fun chat.

A very impressive experience and I highly recommend it when you are in Munich.

I was three times at Tantris in the last three years. Had the galette last december too. My favourite Tantris dish under Benjamin Chmura as chef.

A lot of dough, probably wouldn’t be a good restaurant for a gluten intollerant guest, lol

Looks beautiful and delicious, thanks for sharing
