Looks like a solid and tasty attempt.

For authentic canes taste don’t season chicken or breading.

You can do a salt brine for the chicken but not for long, maybe and 1hr at most.

For the fries, get them nice and golden then put them in a container to sweat so they’ll be a little floppy.

Thick toast, buttered on one side, toasted til golden on that side only, then light toasting on non buttered side.
Using a thick Texas style bread with sesame seeds on the crust.

The sauce is mostly ground black pepper, then garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce and ketchup and mayo. Some people like to add a bit of salt and sometimes cayenne. But I prefer using paprika myself.

And that’s pretty much it. Give it a light frying in a single flour dredge and let it sweat a bit so the breading falls off a bit when you eat it. Classic canes experience right there

Also in no way am I taking the piss with this, it’s literally like this almost every time I have gotten canes.

I really want some now with their lemonade.
