I am not a vegan, but I only like veggie burgers. This looks delicious. I have never enjoyed a meat burger, but have never encountered a vegetarian/vegan one I didn’t like.
Thank you, this is the kind of cooking I like!
This looks incredible!
The recipe is a little light in protein to be a main. I count maybe 12 grams, mostly from the oats and walnuts.
You could boost the protein by using some shredded or crumbled tofu, or by adding a higher protein whole food legume like edamame or maybe lentils.
Has anyone had any experiences of replacing the oats in recipes like this? I have seen loss of recipes for lentil loaf, vegetable or nut burgers and other similar things and they all seem to require oats. I can’t eat oats without a serious reaction but can’t seem to find a decent substitution.
This looks fantastic. I know I will love this with mushrooms but my husband was instructed to stop eating them. I wonder if there’s any possible substitute? I think tempeh would taste very similar, but it’s not juicy like mushrooms…
This looks great. Will definitely try, thanks for sharing 😋
Looks very similar to the recipe I was going to try tomorrow. I think I want to try this recipe instead.
Omg! No beans! Legumes and I don’t play well. No beans, & looks great. Thank you! (Nooo beeeeeans!!)
Looks so good!
