This is my favorite pre-made protein drink. Keeps my blood sugar stable and all the micronutrients are a big plus. Handy for the occasional on-the-go meal.

  1. I average about 1 a week when I have to be out running errands. Not the cheapest protein drink, but worth it to me. These are VERY easy on my stomach. The protein is pea and fava bean. I found these at my local grocery store, but I think you can find them elsewhere. I don’t believe I’ve seen them at Target, but they may be at Walmart.

Side note – The other “meal” shake I’ve tried is the Orgain plant based protein drink and couldn’t get past the chemical taste. I don’t know why since the Orgain protein powder isn’t as awful. I wanted to like the Orgain drinks because they are cheaper. The Ensure ones are far superior imo.

If you are looking for a protein shake, but not a meal type shake, the Owyn protein drinks are really good. I sometimes get those at Target. But the Ensure is more like a meal since it has a lot of other micronutrients in it. Very useful when I haven’t the time to cook or plan ahead.

  2. Plant-based, 20g of protein, 9g of net carbs at only 180 calories? Uhhh… I need to find this! Thank you!

  3. Are you sure it’s vegan? it has vitamin D and it just claims that the protein is plant based but not the whole product

  4. I really wanted to like these but unfortunately they made me sick, it could be I got a bad batch but I haven’t found them since so I don’t know 😅

  5. Just bought a friend who’s fighting cancer a case of these. Not as many calories as I wanted but wanted a plant based protein shake for them

  6. If you ever want to switch it up, the brand “Only What You Need” (aka OWYN) has some delicious vegan protein drinks. They have similar caloric and protein content, and I really like the taste.
