  1. Not an expert in food photography by any means but it’s also something I’m passionate about — my tip would absolutely be less is more! Good lighting, maybe invest in a couple of nice bowls/plates/cutlery sets, play with colours/contrasts… Also make sure the background isn’t too distracting so the focus is on the plate šŸ™‚ and most importantly have fun! Food looks good!

  3. Presentation is a huge thing; you eat with your eyes before you even try the food.

Try artistic presentation on the plates and garnish. Make the plating look symmetrical.

Better lighting and backgrounds will help make the food look more appealing aswell. ā¤ļø

So much flavor packed into one post! šŸ¤¤ My recs for photography are diving into lighting techniques and experimenting with different angles. I learned how to shoot in natural light (near a window is idealā€¦at one point, I actually took my food onto the covered porch for more light) before buying a lighting kit. Try shooting shots that are closeup, from a side angle and overhead, etc to see what speaks to you. Donā€™t hesitate to reach out with questions – happy to help and good luck with the start of your account!

  5. Oooo your food is speaking to my heart! As a super amateur food photo girlie Iā€™ve had the most success just focusing on a clean, full plate + colorful food + natural light šŸ™‚ good luck!!!
