I’m giving intermittent fasting a try and was shocked I only ate 1000 cals today. I’m now convinced this is the only way I can achieve 1200 in a day. >>> Dinner: 1 cup veg, 1/2 cup rice, 1/2 cup beans and 2 tbsp punkin seeds, 430 cals. 🙌

Whatever works – but 1000 calories is too few calories for pretty much everyone, even petite, sedentary people.
I totally agree…IF is the only way I can stick to 1200. I try to do 16:8 and only eat between noon and 8pm.
Could ditch the rice which is just a simple carb anyway and put in a pile more veggies without any extra calories.
Dude that looks delicious. What are the veggies and beans you chose?
just be mindful, if you’re only eating during a small window every day you’re gonna be missing most of your chances for protein synthesis, especially if you’re doing this to reduce weight, meaning you’re intaking fewer calories anyway, you can quickly wind up losing established muscle, especially with running on top of it which breaks down muscle as is.
Good work! I don’t do intermittent fasting (have tried and failed) but I do get most of my calories between noon and 8pm most days. Some days dinner is just especially late.
I highly recommend at least trying to not eat until between noon and 2pm! It has helped me a lot. I actually don’t really get hungry in the mornings and if I do then I just have a small snack like a fruit to fix my blood sugar.
I save about 600-800 calories a day for dinner and that keeps the hunger at bay all night.
