I’m not a great cook (yet!) but I love this pot pie because it’s delicious, easy to make, the ingredient are affordable and have a good shelve life. It’s also easy to alter based on preference or what you have available to make it your own thing!
Notes:
* The recipe itself does not call for a pre-bake, but I read in the comments on the site that I should do one. I’ve make it without doing one previously, and this was my first time trying it. I don’t think it made that much of a difference and I didn’t like not being able to fork crimp the edges together.
* I mentioned in the video, but I sub cream of mushroom in for cream of potato and add mashed potatoes in the bottom. I prefer the mushroom taste and think the potatoes give it more structure. Sometimes I will make brown gravy and put it on the filling before the top pie crust for extra flavor.

I want to save this recipe idea for Thanksgiving. This would fit right into the holiday.

Absolutely incredible! Thank you so much, I’ve always been intimidated by the prospect of cooking a pie, but even if I manage to screw this up, it’s cheap so no harm done!

Huh, TIL that Campbell’s cream of mushroom is vegetarian! Gonna remember that next time I’m craving it for a comfort meal and just indulge.
