(5/10) Canapés-
subtle nothing outstanding

(10/10) Smoked Eel, Oscietra caviar, celeriac, apple-
sweet and salty, gentle textures that melts in your mouth (favourite dish)

(5/10) Lobster, Anjou pear, walnuts, verjus-
bland, inconsistent textures, odd fruit pairing-lost opportunity

(9/10) Dover Sole, white asparagus, Oscietra caviar, citrus hollandaise-
sweet, perfectly cooked, balanced textures, perhaps to citrusy for me

(8/10) 100 Days Aged Cumbrian Blue Grey smoked potato, Violet artichoke, allium-
Too much jus, a bit salty could’ve used more textures

9/10 Sorbet, lychee, champagne foam-
Best sorbet I’ve had, lychee very strong however the overall pre-desert was very light and gentle

8/10 Strawberry parfait Fraise des bois, pistachio-
I don’t really like desert however this one was very delicious, a bit dense but the savoury pistachio base cut through the sweet strawberry throughout the desert, would buy if I saw it at a cafe

Service:
9/10 very friendly, but a bit up in your space 24/7

Food:
7/10 not the most amazing and some dishes did disappoint however the majority was quite delicious and very lovely

Looks great! Had one of the best meals of my life at Petrus a few years ago, but I think most of the dishes were different, a lot more sauces.

I don’t recognize any of these from being there pre COVID but they look great! I enjoyed Petrus a lot back then, looks like they’ve dropped a bit if it’s only a 7

Also had a similar experience. Inoffensive food but nothing wowed me and an underwhelming 1* experience.
