Just wash it off , use a clean scrub brush but don’t break the casing. Cut it open after you cleaned and dried it.

Forgot to add, the mold was probably semi dormant and the air and temperature allowed it to grow again.

Totally fine just peel off the casing and slice!

It´s ok. Peel off the casing. Moisten it to make it easier to peel.
