Can I use either of these as casings?

    Menudo I believe is stomach, so it wouldn’t work as casing.
    Tripa is intestines, so it may work. It will probably have all the linings and mucous soft parts that get removed/cleaned when preparing casings. If you are ok doing that cleaning yourself it may work out.
    This is not based on personal experience, so take this with a grain of salt.

    You can use bung. Most international markets carry it. Beef is the largest and easiest to work with. Tripe won’t work

  4. Where I live now and everywhere else too tripe has always been the stomach, it has a highly textured lining and is wholly unsuitable as a casing as is.
