Was able to secure a last minute reservation last week, and can say this is the best omakase experience I’ve had. It is surely the most expensive as well, but I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. I’ve had several omakase in Tokyo (most notably Jiro Roppongi Hills), but Yoshino exceeded that experience by miles.

A sushi expert I am not, but the rice here was near perfection. Barely holding together, each grain perfectly seasoned. The assortment of otsumami/appetizers were all well executed and of great variety. The karasumi mochi sticking to your lips as you enjoy the savory/salty flavor is a lasting experience.

Not sure there was a miss all night from the food to the service. Hope you enjoy this review

  1. Ayyyy this place and Shion are sooo good. I am admittedly waiting for Sushi Sho this summer because I prefer his style to both of theirs but the quality of sushi in NYC is amazing right now

Looks incredible! It does seem a little ridiculous to have a surcharge option when dinner is $595 pp if I recall correctly, but also the quality of it all looks outstanding
