Whole grain Pasta and pesto with sautéed Mushrooms and onions

    Ingredients

    Whole grain pasta (500g)

    Mushrooms button (400g)

    Brown onion x2

    Frozen baby Peas (200g)

    Pine nuts (50g)

    Parmesan (120g)

    Garlic butter (50g)

    Basil pesto (200g)

    Method

    Put pasta on boil

    Chop and sauté mushrooms and onion in olive oil and garlic butter

    Once cooked add the peas leave on low heat.

    Once pasta is done, strain out and mix all together, finally add the Pesto, Parmesan and the pine nuts.

    Season and enjoy.

    What brand Parm do you use, I know most hard Italian cheese uses animal rennet except for a few US brands I believe?
