  1. This is the Paris location (*) The food here was pretty good but nothing to write home about. Definitely was at a solid 1 star level. Interesting concept having bar seating that faces the kitchen. Service was good for bar seating; essentially what you’d expect sitting at any regular bar. They also served as much of his world famous mashed potatoes as you’d like (but given just how much butter is in it, I couldn’t eat too much). My favorite dish had to be the ravioli!

  2. Looks good, yes L’Atelier is very much formulaic cooking and has been for 10+ years. A good intro to modern French elevated bistronomy cooking but like you said “nothing to write home about”. Is this the location behind the pharmacy on Champs-Élysées?

If I could go time travel and have one French meal anywhere anytime, I might choose Jamin under Joël Robuchon, when he was still grinding and making his name.

We went to the L’Atelier in Vegas (last minute reservation) and it was one of the most disappointing restaurant meals of my life. Not just Michelin meals. All meals. This looks better than the meal we had, at least.
