The Restaurant, located in the outskirts of Alba, Piedmont in Italy, it’s famous for its wine cellar, supposed to be one of the best in Italy.
We chose a la carte menu and then two big bottles – one Barolo 2004 perCristina from Domenico colerico and the king of the show… a brunello biondi santi riserva 2001. Food was good, service was not too attentive but what disappointed me was the sommelier service with the sommelier not even asking to decant the 2001 brunello, when it was clearly close on the nose…. This ruined a bit an over $1,000 bottle…

  1. Bummer. People love this place, but I also had a sub-par experience with not-so-great wine service.
