I went to HAGS in New York twice this year and really enjoyed both times. This was a couple of weeks ago at this point so I’ll do my best to remember what everything was:

– Shrimp with tumeric panacke and shiso
– Amberjack (I think) with seaweed and a gochujang aioli, super tasty
– Lobster + truffles as a supplement
– Skate wing with potato and grape
– Quail stuffed with rice, green fig
– Cashew brie as a cheese course
– My partner and I got the beverage pairing so I was too turnt to remember to take a pic of the desserts, typical.

I’m not the best photographer so apologies for that!

My favorite part about this place is the staff and the service. Everybody is just so genuinely sweet and friendly. They even take a little polaroid of you for you to remember your time. It’s a small place so you feel very among friends here, especially as a queer person. (pronoun pins are provided!)

Good value for money I would say, would recommend to any fine dining fans to try out at the very least. They also have a fully vegan menu available that is very thoughtful.

  1. I really did enjoy the food and the service/vibe of this place but thought the cost was outrageous for what I was served.
