Was definitely among the top five meals of my life when I ate there about ten years back. How was this one?

I’ll admit, I find the number of supplements a little overwhelming. I appreciate the opportunity for some choices but like… just include the clam as a course. Is the wagyu on yours the steak frites?

  2. I actually liked the cooked courses more than the fish. I thought the fish didn’t stand out as special…your thoughts?

  3. We got a gift certificate for O Ya for our wedding, can’t wait to eat there. Did you do the drink pairing?

Comic sans for the menu font feels like such an odd choice given the restaurant and the price tag.

Loved it so much there a few years back! Looks like the entire menu shifted, did you get the potato chip sushi? That was one of my faves

  6. I was so hyped to eat here after a long time hearing how great it was and struggling to get a reservation on my limited visits to Boston. I finally went about a year ago, and it was the most underwhelming experience I’ve ever had. The food was … corny? To me, great omakase really showcases the fish. O Ya is nothing like that — I got the feeling they were trying to hide cheap fish with powerful, over-flavoring of other things. I was very disappointed.

Just as an example on this menu, really great waygu shouldn’t need to have soy or maple on it. It should stand on its own. Why do that to a great piece of meat?

  7. They add a 20% “administrative fee” and still expect gratuity? Seems a little disingenuous to me
