Went to House Brooklyn after someone recommended it here. What a great recommendation, and highly recommend to anyone looking to get away from the long & repetitive tasting menus in the city!

It’s one of those meals where you remember every course because the food is incredibly tasty but also creative. The French & Japanese mix is showcased throughout every dish but it’s in full display with the favorite, Pillah rice with foie gras. What a delight! The menu is short (8 courses) but so concise.

The name “House” makes so much sense when you are there. So cozy and welcoming. Unlike Atomix where the environment felt cold and the “genuine” conversations felt forced & rehearsed. The complete opposite here. Genuine and warm service.

Amongst all the shiny stars in NYC, this is still a hidden gem.

  1. I’ve been curious about this place for awhile, the teishoku sets they do in the main space (dashi okume) are excellent. Thanks for sharing, it’s definitely going further up my list now.
