Every Swedish vegan meatball recipe I found has coconut milk in the sauce, so I tried replacing that with the new creamy Chobani oatmilk. Turned out so much better and lower calorie too. Sauce is 46 calories per 1/4 cup.

    My version

    ▢2 tablespoons vegan butter

    ▢3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

    ▢2 cups vegetable broth

    ▢½ cup Chobani extra creamy oat milk

    ▢1 teaspoon vegan Worcestershire sauce

    ▢1 teaspoon dijon mustard

    ▢1/8 teaspoon ground allspice

    ▢1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

    ▢1/4 tsp white pepper

    Instructions are the same as the website. After cooking down the sauce I had a total of 1.25 cups.

    My plant-based meatballs were Beyond Meat brand pre-made meatballs.
