Best dining experience I had in Portugal ( much better than Belcanto IMHO) and one of the best dining experiences i’ve ever had. It’s manned only by a husband+wife duo and they only serve 10 people every night. I went this past Sunday and luckily 4 people canceled at the last minute meaning we even had the option of getting extra food. They don’t give a menu at the end so I don’t remember exactly what was in every course-

Course 1 : fish tartar with kombu on top
Course 2: mushroom beignet
Course 3: sashimi with a coffee dashi sauce – one of the best tasting dishes i’ve ever had
Course 4: persimmon and a green wine sauce
Course 5: Lightly seared shrimp, sushi rice, salmon roe and a brazilian sauce on the side
Course 6: Sous vide fish with a bread crumb “skin” and a seared veggie on the side
Course 7: Black Pork – one of the best pork dishes i’ve ever had and I usually dislike pork
Course 8: Kefir lime ice cream with coconut and caramel
Course 9: Banana foam with sponge cake and crumble
Course 10: Lemon Mochi and a fried japanese dessert

This was all also only 85 euros. Absolutely amazing experience I would recommend to anyone who visits Lisbon.

  1. I was just going to ask if anyone had suggestions for dinner in Lisbon. I’m already going to Alma and was looking for something else. Just added myself to the waitlist
