Second time visiting Atelier, first since they were awarded a star. We love this place! The first time we went we had gone to Alinea the month before and remarked on how much better the food is compared to Alinea. Chef Christian Hunter creates mouth watering dishes that somehow are nothing like anything I ate as a child but remind me of happy childhood memories.
I’m really bad at tasting notes but The standout dish this visit was the Schnitzel! Close second would be the apple cider sorbet. We also had some Kyoto coffee which was very good. But honestly I don’t have anything negative to say about any of the food and would happily go again and eat the same menu.
The space is a little loud (voices carry) and there was a very loud party that the staff kept apologizing for but everything was presented beautifully and the staff there are fantastic!
