Okra — fresh. (Doesn’t work well with frozen okra). Chop them into half inch slices to yield about 2 cups.
Cooking oil — 2 tablespoons.
Granulated Garlic — 1.5 teaspoons.
Paprika — 2 teaspoons.
Brown rice flour — 2 tablespoons. The rice flour makes it crispy. If you don’t have brown rice flour, you may substitute it with either regular rice flour or corn starch.
Salt and pepper — to taste.
Cooking instructions:
Heat oil in a flat-bottom sauté pan on medium heat, sauté chopped okra until they’re no longer raw (about 15 mins). Make sure to sauté frequently so they don’t burn. Also, it’s important to saute, NOT stir because stirring will make everything gooey. Add the rest of the ingredients and sauté some more until your desired crispness is reached (5 mins for me). Adjust salt to taste. Enjoy the delicious and healthy crispy okra!

I love okra! I like to air fry them whole with salt and chili flakes. Going to try them with garlic next! 🙂

I prefer it roasted with garlic powder and cayenne. It’s definitely one of my favorites. Can’t wait unti it’s in season near us again.

This looks delicious. I’ve never tried Okra, how would you describe the taste?

I’ve had it pickled and deep fried. Never like this. Bound to be good though.
