Finally got to try the 50 calorie plant-based Babybel cheeses. So good! And they melt really easily in the microwave to make low cal pasta sauce. 276 cal for the pasta: veggies, 1/3 Impossible sausage, penne, Babybel cheese

Found these at target.
It only takes a few seconds to melt the cheese. Be sure to cover it.
I’m sure I could have come up with a better pasta dish, this was more proof-of-concept. Just wanted to see if the cheese could melt and make decent pasta sauce.
Next time I will try melted babybel + vegan pesto
Pasta:
* one melted babybel
* 56 g dry weight Fiber Gourmet Penne
* 1/2 zucchini
* 1/2 squash
* 1 campari tomato
* 1/3 Impossible sausage
Man I’ve been trying to find these everywhere! Had no idea they come in different packaging. I’ve been looking for the little mesh net bags. There’s a good chance I’ve walked right past them haha
I just found these today. Only tried one piece cold, but it was really good!
that is some expensive pasta sauce lol. bet it tastes great tho
I’ll have to try this cheese
Melting them into a sauce is the only way I can eat these. I really wanted a snacking cheese but for some reason I just don’t like them like that. But making a sause with them is always delish.
Whoa what?!
I was just thinking about trying this today when I had one for a snack! They have a weird taste when they first hit your tongue but then they taste like cream cheese so I figured it would be good.
😮😮😮
Ingredients?
I have a giant bag of these from Costco in my fridge. Thanks for the tip!!
Ooh, I love these! Sainsbury’s stock them, in case anyone in the UK is looking for them
Any protein?
man i want to try them but haven’t found them in canada 😔😠
