We went to Menton, France in Summer of 2022 to try the flowers menu at Mirazur and nothing has blown me away quite as much as them since. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish, but the main standout had to be the lobster grilled with celeriac and vanilla – it was quite possibly the best dish I’ve ever tasted. Desserts were also spectacular and really capitalized on the flower theme of the menu.

Pictures
2-4: “Tapas”/Petit Fours that opened the meal
5: Razor Clams, Chawanmushi
6:Hibiscus Rose, I believe there was beef tartare in the middle
7-8: Two out of 3 different langoustine-centered dishes that were presented as 1 course
9: Gambas and Squid
10-11: Lobster grilled with celeriac and vanilla
12: peach granita with sliced peaches and lavender
13: Honey with honey cream and honey sorbet
14-15: flower themed Mignardises to finish the meal.

Overall, I felt like both the presentations and the flavors perfectly encapsulated the flower theme that they were going for. The dishes all had floral components but I didn’t find them overpowering and felt that they complemented each dish very well.

  1. It had been on my to do list for a while, but as of late, I’ve been hearing mixed things. I’m glad you had a positive experience!

  2. Looks stunning.

Personally went to their pop-up in Sydney, which at least in terms of visual conception of dishes seemed less impressive than what you’re getting at the restaurant itself, but the food was still beautiful.

Had the roots menu, and LOVED the flavor combinations.

  4. I went the year before it earn the 3rd star. Still the meal and overall dining experience I have ever had. I was even invited to return the next day for a garden tour. Paid 145€/pp for the meal back then too. What a steal
