Ingredients:
* ¼ cup diced onion
* 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
* 1 tsp ras el hanout
* ½ tsp ground aleppo pepper
* ½ tsp whole cumin seeds
* 28 oz can fire-roasted tomatoes (whole or crushed)
* ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
* 1 Tbsp smoked paprika
* 1 ½ tsp Harissa paste
* ½ cup roasted red peppers*
* 1 can chickpeas, drained, rinsed, and skinned.*
* 1 cup Spinach*
* 3-4 eggs or 2 mashed avocados*
* Feta cheese (for garnish)*
* Cilantro or Parsley (for garnish)*
* 1 pita (for serving)*

Thank you for this – I’ve been looking for a good shakshuka recipe for a while as so many just seem to be eggs in a tomato sauce whereas this has all the missing elements.
