2023 Number 12 World’s Best Restaurant.
I made no reservation and just stood in line prior to opening 30 minutes and was able to get a seat for lunch as a solo diner. Definitely harder to get bigger groups as it is a small restaurant. I tried getting a table of 4 the day before at opening and the wait was going to be 3 hours.
The main tasting menu is roughly $40-50 USD, and all the dishes besides desserts were focused on pork in some way. The most interesting dishes were the pork nigiri (6-9) and pork broth with noodles made from pork fat (11).
It would be hard to compete with a tasting menu of this caliber for the price, but I’ve definitely had better dishes from other restaurants that actually hold a Michelin Star.
