Over 900 Euros per person after service charge is wild

So many good places you could eat in Kyoto for 4 meals for the price of 900 euros

I heard from multiple people here in Kyoto that it was a decidedly mid experience.

It’s a no for me. In a place like Kyoto, I can eat like a Queen for 900 euros.

If I make a top 100 restaurants I want to visit in Kyoto, Noma would not be on that list. And to pay over ¥150k for that is insanity

Is there anyone been there for their last Kyoto gig? Is it as good as the real thing at Copenhagen?

At this point it feels that people visit Noma to say they did and not for the food.

Wonder what new creativ leap they will take in paying their chefs

Supposedly this isn’t as good as the regular Noma based on what I’ve read (Noma itself isn’t worth that anyway), which makes it all the less appealing at over $900 per person.
And if the argument is, “but we need to transport our chefs and gear there”, then why choose Kyoto in the first place?
I would say it’ll just be Anders and Kaitlin at this one, but we know the ultra rich trend followers better than that.

does that mean that there won’t be a game and forest season anymore in CPH?

Noma is really milking the “closing” thing as long as possible. They initially announced it would be end of 2024, but now they’re going into 2025?
Ridiculous to be “closing” for over 2 years…

They’re milking this “we are closing” thing so hard it’s sort of disgusting. The experience in Kyoto last year was underwhelming – poor service, different wines for “friends & family” aka influencers, and slightly above average food – all for a lot of money.

How hard was it to book last years? Just curious if going to this or wait to go to CPH since they’ll be back anyway
