My wife and I were in Rome and had dinner at Aroma

We had a solid tasting menu with wine pairings. The service was also great. We had a seat right next to the window so the views of the Colosseum were wonderful and it was pretty romantic.

After dinner I asked about smoking a cigar in their bar and they had a separate dedicated room in the restaurant as their smoking room. It was nice to end dinner with a cigar and scotch.

I think you’re mainly paying for the view and experience (think Jules Verne in the Eiffel Tower). That said, it was a solid one star experience and not bad at all!
