Just back from a night in Dublin’s latest 1 star restaurant D’Olier Street. This place lands at a nice price point, tasting menu €118pp, wine paring €88pp, non-alcoholic €48pp.

We had an excellent meal ending with one of the best desserts I’ve had, a combination of white chocolate, plum, rose hip and Jerusalem artichoke.

Our only complaint was that the wine pairing and non-alcoholic pairing were not very exciting, all the wines “worked” with the food but nothing stood out (bar the dessert wine).

I would highly recommend a visit to D’Olier Street if visiting Dublin, an excellent addition the Ireland’s Michelin starred restaurants.

  1. I should also add that my wife is pregnant. They approached us about this as it was in the reservation notes and made all necessary substitutions. I was very impressed with how they handled this, service was sublime.

We recently had a bad experience at 3 star Geranium in Copenhagen, very nice to return to Irish hospitality!
