  1. We look forward to this meal every year at our favorite restaurant in Philly. Last years was one of the best meals I’ve had. Unfortunately this year was a big flop. They have gone through a lot of staff changes and the restaurant isn’t the same. Overall meal was ok and plating was terrible. As always, the Foie Gras was the best dish. Lobster was good to but very undercooked this year. Chicken Ballotine was different. They usually do quail. Plate really seemed off. Looked like something was missing. Venison was bad. The meat was flavorless and slightly dry. Sauce was more like stock and lacked flavor and body. Previous years they would serve venison steak. Potato dauphine was very good though. Buche de Noel was an embarrassment. Looked like the plate sat under a heat lamp for a few minutes.
