  1. Most of the dishes were very good or at least interesting there were some minor disappointments but dishes like the pigeon and the trout were *** star level, the trout blowed oitlr mind and the pistacchio used as the fat part of the pigeon instead of going for the classical foie gras was genius

  2. About 20 years ago I read a book, about the football team in Castel di Sangro, that became the team from the smallest ever town to reach Serie B in the Italian league system.

Despite the subject matter, it wasn’t really a “sports book”, the author was a 55 year old American with no knowledge of soccer, it was more about his time in a small village in the middle of nowhere, and the relationships he formed with the locals as he learned Italian. It’s a really good read.

And today I learned there is now a 3 star restaurant there. I will definitely put it on my list, thank you OP.

  3. Maybe it’s just me but the plating here looks terrible. Only one that looks appetizing is #16

I dined here in November. I thought every bread course, and especially this one, was outstanding. The overall experience, however, underwhelmed me. I expected more from a 3 starred restaurant.
