Iwent to Table by Bruno Verjus this week, which has two Michelin stars. It was really good. The chef is absolutely obsessed with finding the best ingredients he can – if it isn’t the best of the best then he doesn’t want it. This was notable all through the meal but definitely peaked at two points – the insane chocolate and caviar dessert, and, and I can’t overstate this enough) the best piece of asparagus that has ever existed. I never thought I’d wax lyrical about a piece of asparagus but good god. I’d be vegan if I could just have that every day. Also I came to the restaurant in December ‘22 but felt really sick as soon as I arrived and had to go home without eating. The chef remembered me when I walked in and came over and rubbed my belly and said ‘no sick today’. No sick today indeed.

    To confirm, the chocolate and caviar dish was with actual caviar? Not some other ingredient designed to look like caviar? Just checking. 

    And the chef actually rubbed your belly?
