Mujō just got its first star as did a few other restaurants in Atlanta with the Michelin Guide’s first visit to the city in the fall of 2023. Mujō’s service was great, they were on top of everything, knew when to skip and accommodate the diners timing and accompaniments. They never rushed and were enjoyable to interact with, not snobby at all, very pleasant.

We went to Mujō to celebrate for my wife’s birthday, we arrived early to enjoy drinks at the bar and overall had an absolutely amazing time!

The dinner consisted of 3 starters, 10 pieces of nigiri and 2 additional pieces, supplements and a dessert.

All of the food was fantastic! Food was blasting with different flavors and I sadly forgot to take photos of two of my starters because the food tasted so good I was so caught up with eating rather than with my phone! That’s a compliment if I do say so my self.

Missed photo opportunity was of Roasted eggplant topped with fried mitaki mushrooms and a dashi broth.

Second missed photo opportunity was of Steamed Long tooth grouper with peas and kombu topped with a ‘blanc’ sauce.

For the two of us we got the Omakase and standard drink pairing each, 1 cocktail each, 1 uni temaki, 1 negitoro temaki, 1 olive beef tataki and 1 kegani (yes we went overboard but when you celebrate you gotta celebrate). In total with tipping the meal was $1232.63

I will be glad to recommend Mujō to anyone anytime! I will be back for another wonderful meal in the future!
