Not sure what the criteria is on this sub for fine dining, but this trip does get more and more fine dining as it goes. These aren’t Michelin star restaurants, so not sure of the interest on this sub.

This is part 1.
Part 2 will have Lago and Michael Mina
Part 3 will be é by Jose Andres
Part 4 will be Guy Savoy

Bavette’s Steakhouse. Great atmosphere and vibe. Bacon was softer than expected and I prefer it to Peter Luger’s bacon. Fried chicken was good bur nothing stellar. Dry aged NY strip had great flavor and that true dry aged funk. Sides and dessert were ok. The charred broccoli was too large, I’d have preferred smaller spears.

Breakfast at Garden Table (by Sadelle’s). It is quite an experience eating at the solo table in the gazebo in the Bellagio Conservatory. It’s OK in the morning, but I can imagine feeling like a zoo exhibit later in the day when busier. Still, a worthwhile experience. At $125 per person, there was way too much food along with the bottomless mimosas. Good quality brunch food, mostly about the experience.

Hakkasan Dragon Menu. Haven’t been to the original, but did enjoy the one in NYC. Really good quality Chinese food. Sizeable portions with reasonable high end prices. This would be my choice with a group. Dim sum were nice and delicate. Langoustine was well cooked and quite sweet. Peking duck and lobster was good but can’t say particularly special. Wagyu loin was better quality than I expected. Green beans were fantastic although there are hidden chiles that are very spicy!
