Not sure if I’d classify this as fine dining but I guess it could be. Uchiba is the *slightly* more casual alternative to Uchi, a high-end sushi chain born in Austin, TX. Uchiba offers many of the classic dishes from uchi (most of the dishes pictured) + a selection of skewers, bao buns, and dumplings.
1. hama chili – yellowtail, ponzu, thai chili, orange supreme
2. hirame usuzukuri – thinly sliced flounder, candied quinoa, olive oil
3. N/A cocktails – citrus cooler with rosemary, lemon, and yuzu, and a blueberry lemonade with blueberry, lemon, and honey
4. madai crudo – japanese sea bream, asian pear, yuzu kosho, myoga
5. akami crudo – tuna loin, cucumber, wakame salsa macha
6. kinoko skewer – portabella, broccolini pesto, brown butter
7-8. hot rock – australian wagyu beef
9-10. fried milk – vanilla custard, salted fudge, toasted blondie

My favorite restaurant in Dallas!
Your pictures are really well taken. Great! 😀
The Uchi restaurant family is a gift to this country in japanese fusion dining.
This isn’t really fine dining though. I like this spot better than Uchi which is really overpriced
I learned more working at Uchiko in Austin for 2 years way back when than I did anywhere else in my career, and I spent time at a lot of Michelins. Lots of great cooks and chefs coming out of their restuatants because it’s a culture that encourages education and development, they treat staff very well etc. It’s becoming a chain like Nobu at this point but deserves a ton of support. they are doing it right.
Thanks for sharing! Do you have a favorite fine dining spot in Dallas? I’m relatively new to the city and the only one I’ve been to is Shoyo, which I enjoyed.
Is it that much different than Uchi or Uchiko? Based off what you ordered, most of the items are at Uchi and Uchiko.
Fucking love the fried milk dessert (and everything else)
Used to live a five minute walk. Miss it to this day!
Also, Loro 🤤
Uchi is my absolute favorite resturaunt!! I’m jealous
These are marketing photos?
do you get up and walk around the table during the meal?
I have questions
Wow u make it look better than my last dinner at the OG uchi.. (which was fantastic)!
