This place was really amazing. Pics not in order obviously.
We did the premium tasting, a tour of all of Zuma’s signature dishes. They were all really good, but it was so much food. If you do this, tell them to slow the pace. If there are 5 of you, tell them to make it for 4.
A bit pricey because of the location, which is one of the best resorts in the world, but well worth it. The drinks were excellent as well. I got a whiskey sour and it was top notch.
One of the most memorable experiences I’ve had. Every bite was amazing.
The group agreed the black miso cod was the best bite of the trip. We were so full by the time dessert arrived and couldn’t stop eating because it was so delicious.
Impeccable food, service and decor.
here are the names from the menu:
miso marinated black cod wrapped in hoba leaf
barley miso corn fed baby chicken, oven roasted on cedar woo
spicy beef tenderloin with sesame, red chilli and sweet soy
roasted lobster, shiso ponzu butter
grilled chilean seabass with green chilli ginger dressing
tempura shrimp, green pea wasabi and chilli dip
zuma salad with ginger miso dressing
Sushi:
seared salmon with lime shiso soy
wagyu beef tataki with truffle ponzu / with shaved fresh truffle
salmon and tuna tartare with oscietra caviar
thinly sliced seabass with yuzu, truffle oil and salmon roe
Particularly like the look of the asparagus, love a good miso cod dish too.
Great interiors as well.

Is that restaurant new? I don’t remember it there. Where was it located?

I’ve been to the London Zuma many a time and always enjoy it. It’s expensive but very decent.

Is Zuma fine dining? Never really thought of it in that way, more of a casual/party place.

So corn in the Maldives would be difficult to get (ie expensive) but it’s still just corn.

Stayed at the Maldives JW Marriott recently and had a similar, phenomenal culinary experience. The resort was beautiful, people lovely, house on the ocean with private pool and deck incredible as well
