First Michelin solo dinner and I thoroughly enjoyed my 3.5h at Arpege. Highlights were the cucumber sushi, pea/strawberry fricassee and the profiterole. Not a single dish that missed the mark! 3 great glasses of wine as per their suggestions (2 white, one red) rounded out the meal.

Since I got the Gardeners Lunch there is no menu. I do feel though, that I got more dishes than some of the other tables that ordered the same tasting menu. However, other tables got a green salad which I never saw. Have other had a similar experience here? Anyways – I felt like I got special treatment and a lot of attention (maybe bc I dined solo or chatted with the staff?).

Highly recommend!

  1. Went there couple of months ago as a solo diner and the staff really cared about me, that egg is something

  2. reformingindividual on

I cancelled Arpege for Table. Very happy with Table but do feel like I missed out for the price!

  3. When I went, I think there were small variations on what each table got.

Some must have been intentional. But some were waiters mistakes (they took back a dish after it was almost served).

In our case also, my wife couldn’t really eat halfway thru the meal (later we found out it is due to topinambours) and asked them to stop serving her, they basically shipped all her dishes to the solo diner next to us who was very happy.
