Da Terra is a 2* restaurant located in the Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green, London. While the food was quite good, it did not overly impress me. My favorite courses were the snacks, the Moqueca and petit fours. One of the desserts was a Cachaca Baba with pistachio ice cream and caviar. The combination was unusual but it interestingly worked well when you combine every component. The table next to us hated it though haha
The service was very friendly, professional and attentive. For example, I accidentally broke the petit four liquor candy resulting in sticky hands. They noticed it and brought me a new candy along with a wet towel.
The dining room is modern and cozy, most tables offer a view of the open kitchen. I just found the music a bit odd, it didn’t expect to listen to Sweet Home Alabama in a Brazilian fine dining restaurant.
Although I was not disappointed I just did not feel satisfied after the meal, especially considering the cost. The total bill including the (mandatory) tip was 780€ for two with 5 glasses of wine.
