  1. I suck at baking and can’t believe this worked! I feel like a mad scientist who just made their monster come alive lol.

I used [this recipe](https://amyshealthybaking.com/blog/2017/04/06/elderberry-jam-thumbprint-cookies/) with a couple changes:

    1. Used 1/2 cup Allulose + 1/8 cup raw cane sugar. I hate all other sugar substitutes, but this one. I don’t think it has any aftertaste and mixed with the raw sugar I couldn’t tell the difference.

    2. I used 2 tbsp aquafaba to replace the egg white. The dough was super dry and crumbly so I added 2 more tbsp.

    3. I subbed 1 tsp arrowroot for the cornstarch because that’s all I had.

    4. I used leftover maple cranberry sauce from thanksgiving. I’m not sure of the exact calories which is why I said approximately 30 in the title. MFP said it was 26 cal per cookie (not counting the jam)

    5. I used 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp maple extract instead of all vanilla.

The texture was kind of bread or cake like, (maybe because of the extra aquafaba?) but I didn’t mind because they tasted good! My son pronounced them “ehhh…ok” but inhaled 4 and then asked for a 5th so I think they were pretty good!
