This was my family’s first visit to a michelin starred restaurant. We really had to scour through all the restaurants in madrid before we landed on this because the rest of my family isn’t too experimental with beef/pork/other seafood. Very glad we picked this because the experience was absolutely lovely.

The service itself is impeccable and we felt like they went a bit of the extra mile when we said it was our dad’s birthday. Not pictured was a lovely yuzu and white choc ganache dessert to mark the occasion. We’re from india, so someone from the BOH (who was also indian) came out to serve us a couple of the courses. It was very sweet 🙂

The hallmark of the restaurant is the omakase experience, however my slightly aged parents would not have enjoyed the high-chair experience as much — which is why we chose to sit at a dining table. I’m not sure how common it is for the FOH to plate the entirety of the courses tableside, but I was thoroughly impressed by our server who did a fine and meticulous job.

As for the food itself, some of the courses were truly exemplary. It’s easier to list out what didn’t stand out for me 😛 which is the grouper fish course. It looked very vibrant what with the herb-y oil and a lemongrass situation going on, but didn’t translate on the palate. Bread was abso-fucking-lutely insane; i had to resist myself from eating it (it was a very rich brioche that would have filled me up — with a compound butter of roasted yeast and roasted avocado)

The prix fixe options were priced at €195 pp and €250 pp; we took the former one w/out wine pairing.
