I’m using stock images but I am always on the lookout for new cheeses to try whenever I go to the store. Credit to various cheese websites, resources, and sellers for the cheese images and cheese facts. If any of you know some cheeses that I haven’t done yet I would love some input!

Here is your daily cheese facts: Thunderstorm – Gwitterchäs is an exceptionally creamy hard cheese with a strong, spicy flavor. The fine salt crystals provide a taste explosion that rushes across the palate, like a storm. In 2014, disaster struck a cheese dairy when a lightning strike disrupted the workplace. Under high pressure and stress, a worker made a mistake: the fat content setting in the cheese production was set too high. This resulted in an exceptionally creamy and soft cheese, initially considered a failure. The cheeses were forgotten in the aging cellar, until after seven months they discovered a surprising find: a powerful, aromatic cheese had developed. This unexpected creation, now known as Thunderstorm – Gwitterchäs, has since made a stormy impression on cheese lovers worldwide.

Also as a note: I post my daily cheese here as well as in my r/dailycheese subreddit.

  2. Just want to say…I see your posts pop up frequently and I totally admire your dedication. Also I love cheese, so thank you.
