Made a “quick” (took a little over an hour to make everything) bulgogi bibimbap including the following:
Rice – the base of the dish, I like to use stoneware and try to crisp up the rice a little in the over prior to assembling the dish
Ground beef bulgogi – a great and easy way to prepare ground beef, it’s also a lot cheaper than traditional bulgogi and tastes every bit as good
Seasoned cucumber salad – I love adding extra gochugaru to this, it goes really well with the cucumber
Sauteed mushrooms – my secret here is to add a bit of soy sauce around the outer portion of the wok right towards the end and letting that burn off, then hitting them with a tiny bit of sesame oil once they’re in a bowl and mixing it all together
Matchstick carrots – I like to use baby carrots to have bite sized pieces to work with, saute them for a while until they’ve got a good bit of color and they’re nice and sweet
Steamed spinach – not a super traditional addition, but I was feeling it and with some garlic it’s absolutely delicious
Bibimbap sauce – this is what brings the whole meal together!
pbbye on
it’s 4am and i see your post and honestly i’m hungry now
